There is some overlap of old and new. Non hybrid Corolla has a 2.0l Dynamic Force engine but hybrid does not. It has the same 1.8l (2ZR-FXE) engine as the 3rd and 4th gen Prius. The latest gen Yaris and Yaris hybrid has a 3 cylinder Dynamic Force engine of 1.5l (M15A-FKS and M15A-FXE). The Prius C was 4 cylinder 1.5l and its engine was a development of an even older Prius engine. Prius C and Yaris hybrid share the same platform up until the Gen 4 Yaris. In Japan the 2021 Aqua is built on the same TNGA platform (GA-B) as a Yaris Gen 4. The 1NZ-FXE engine in the Prius C is a beltless development of the engine fitted to the original Prius in 1997. It was discontinued in the full size Prius in 2009. I do think it got mated to a new transaxle in the Prius C (P510). This makes the engine fitted to the Prius C until 2021 pretty long in the tooth.
