A quick correction…

The local assemblers are just afraid if the truth got out, people would realize how UNIMPORTANT they REALLY are in the grand scheme of things

Maybe this should be the wakeup call for the local parts vendors. Get out from under the heel of the local bekar ASSemblers and get into the international parts supply game yourself or go under; your choice.

And this is should be an eye opener for anyone in the government who is genuinely trying to solve the local assembler problem. They are not that important to the local auto industry as they make the government or the people believe. Again, bazaars like shobah in Peshawar or Bilal Gunj in Lahore etc. do not depend on the exsistance if any local vendor. They cater to all imported and local assembled and are the true life blood of the local auto industry.

The local ASSemblers are just afraid if the truth got out, people would realize how important they rally are in the grand scheme of things.

Lastly, the guy is talking about 30 million USD spend a week. Multiply that by 52 and we get 1.56 billion USD spend for the whole year! That is not exactly peanuts! The government must keep up this pressure. This way the government and the people can get a very clear idea of how much local assemblers spend, and what they sell their products here for.

Also the government should consider more incentives to assemblers who are also exporters and less incentives with higher taxes on those who are just importers.
