Porsche Celebrates Taycan’s 100,000 Units Production Milestone

Porsche celebrates as the 100,000th Taycan has rolled off the production line. The milestone was achieved about 3 years after the production of Taycan was commenced at Porsche’s main plant in Zuffenhausen in September 2019.

The 100,000th unit, which is Taycan Turbo S painted in Neptune Blue color is destined for a customer in the United Kingdom.  Commenting on the occasion, Kevin Giek, the Vice President of Model Line Taycan said:

“We are very pleased to have reached this milestone in production history so quickly – despite the recent challenges posed by the semiconductor shortage and the volatile Covid situation. With the Taycan, we have made a decidedly successful start in the electric age.”

The top three individual markets for Porsche’s all-electric sports car are currently the US, China and the UK/Republic of Ireland. The model is now available in three body styles – the Taycan sports sedan, Taycan Cross Turismo and Taycan Sport Turismo.

The 100,000th Porsche Taycan has rolled off the production line.

Up to 5 powertrain options are offered with either rear- or all-wheel drive. With a maximum drive range of 513 km (WLTP) the most powerful model, the Taycan Turbo S, holds the fastest EV record on the Nürburgring with a time of 7.33 minutes.
