So the DFSK Seres E1 EV is a rebadged DFSK mini EV which was inspired by the Hongguang Mini EV; And the MG is a rebadged Wuling Air EV. I believe that means this was a successful design and cheap to manufacture so all these companies used it to put out a product in the market.

funnily enough the DFSK Mini EV was released before the MG Comet which is a rebadged Wuling EV (Air EV in Indonesia). Mini EV was unveiled in Jan 2022, Air EV in June 2022 and Comet in April 2023. In fact, the DFSK Mini EV is inspired from Wuling Hongguang Mini EV (which is there since July 2020) not the Air EV

DFSK are not that concerned with establishing their brand name. They have allowed this UAE company to rebadge the Voyah Free. They have allowed a Pakistani company to rebadge the DFSK Series EV1 to the GiGi EV here locally; which the "reviewers" of "Pakistan's #1 car website" ae STILL calling a copy of the MG comet. But, will this be built in Mussafa, Abu Dhabi or just assembled?
