Renault has launched a new flagship variant of its popular entry level crossover Kwid in India. The new Kwid Neotech edition is priced from INR 4.29 lac (PKR 9.6 lac). Based on the top-spec RXL variant, the Neotech edition is INR 30,000 (PKR 67,196) more expensive than the regular variants.

The Neotech limited-edition variants feature 2 exclusive dual-tone exterior color combinations– Zanskar Blue body with Silver roof and Silver body with Zanskar Blue roof. The Renault Kwid Neotech Edition features 3D decals, flex wheels and Neotech door cladding on the C Pillar. The interior gets 8-inch UFC infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new blue and black fabric upholstery and blue stitching on the seat, gensker chrome blue highlight on the steering wheel and chrome surround on the gear knob.

In terms of features, the Kwid Neotech edition includes LED digital instrument cluster, rear camera, one-touch lane change indicator, speed-dependent volume control and enhanced boot capacity of 279-liters. Standard safety equipment consist of driver’s airbag, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminders for driver and front passenger, a speed alert system and reverse parking sensors.
Engine options remain same with 0.8 liter version producing 53 hp of power and 72 Nm of torque, while the 1.0 liter engine in the higher variants delivers 67 hp of power and 91 Nm of torque. The engines are paired to 5-speed manual transmission as standard while the 1.0-liter engine versions get an option of AMT gearbox. Renault Kwid in India comes with a 5 years/ 100,000 km extended warranty.
The Kwid is considered as one of the most successful products for Renault in India with over 350,000 unit sold since it was first introduced in 2015. With the introduction of Kwid Neotech edition, Renault hopes to get even better sales during the festive season.
