Expanding its product portfolio, Sazgar has introduced the Haval Jolion HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) in Pakistan. The Jolion was previously available in a single non-hybrid variant only.
The locally assembled Jolion HEV is priced at PKR 92.95 lac which is Rs 12.6 lac more than the previously available 1.5T variant available for PKR 80.28 lac. The company has also started taking pre-bookings for Jolion HEV in Pakistan at a partial amount of PKR 18.0 lac with deliveries set to be made within 3 months.
Under the hood is a 1.5L engine with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and Front-Wheel Drive (FWD). The engine which produces 190 hp and 375Nm of torque works in tandem with a 115 kW (154 hp) BorgWarner permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 1.6 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Exterior highlights include LED electrically height-adjustable headlamps with follow-me-home function, LED DRLs, automatic & boneless wipers, rear fog lights, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry system, electrically adjustable rear view mirror with integrated turn signal, heated and auto-fold rearview mirror, and privacy glass.
Inside there is a multi-function steering, 7-inch instrument (LCD) cluster, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with CarPlay & Android Auto, wireless charger, leather seats, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 4-way manual adjustable front passenger seat, power-heated front seats, push-button engine start/ stop, dual-zone AC with rear vents, internal anti-glare rearview mirror, and power windows with anti-pinch function with remote control etc.
The safety kit consists of 6 airbags (front/ side/ curtain), ABS with EBD & BA, ECS, TCS, Hill Start Assist & Hill Descent Control, 360-view parking, Intelligent Cruise Assistant (ICA) with Intelligent Turning, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Central Keeping (LCK), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Rear Collision Warning (RCW) with Automatic Collision Unlock Function & Collision Fuel Shutoff System.
Sazgar already sells the locally assembled Haval Jolion, Haval H6, and H6 hybrid in our market. The new Jolion HEV will compete against the likes of the Toyota Corolla Cross which is priced between PKR 93.99 lac and PKR 98.49 lac.
