Things are not happening in the automotive sector, however in the telecom sector things are progressing steadily, but many from the public are not aware!

On 05 September 2022, the definition of broadband has been revised to mean:

4 Mbps down min. (This is the main parameter & prev. it was set to 256 kbps in 2014.)
2 Mbps up min.
110 ms latency max.
15 ms jitter max.
4 sec page loading time max.
1% packet loss ratio max.
Service uptime 98% min.

The ADSL connections which provide 0.75 Mbps or 1 Mbps upload speeds regardless of the download speeds (which is the actual advertised figure that can be anything from 4 Mbps to 24 Mbps), will very soon become ineligible to be advertised as broadband. Others such as VDSL which provides half the upload speed compared to download speed and fiberoptic which provides equal upload & download speed will be unaffected.

This is a success story for our freelancers and online service providers who work on upwork, freelancer.com etc. and others who are working from home, studying from home or participating in business meetings as well for remote CCTV camera monitoring.
