In other countries, smaller middle class and consumer grade vehicles are pushed and advertised heavily to gain as much consumers as possible and maximizing profit, and niche, luxury grade vehicles are kept at low production/advertising for the few that can afford it. Here in Pakistan all of the auto assemblers are pretending that everyone in Pakistan is rich and can easily afford 50lac CUVs

at least someone has guts to write that new companies are not launchign cars for public. they are only intrested in earning quick bucks thats y they wana sell expensive cars to the rich and get thick profits. i dont think ghandhara or chery will launch cars for masses but i do like this car, its simple & appealing

yes Chinese have been able to pull out some great numbers from turbocharged engines recently, for eg. the MG GT generates 171hp and 250Nm from its 1.5 turbo

Great article! Very stylish looking vehicle. Design style is not too exotic and not too basic; just perfect in between. And it’s quite surprising how sporty this is compared to it’s competitors; 230Nm of torque from a 1.5L must be neck breakingly quick! That is more horsepower and torque than the current 1.8 Civic and 2.0 Corolla Grande sold in Pakistan.

In order to properly launch this vehicle in Pakistan and deem it a success against Honda/Toyota/Hyundai’s offerings, it must be priced competitively as well. It would not make good sense selling this car as a CBU with a big price going against CKD Hondas/Toyotas. Therefore, Chery would have to make a good assembly line investment for this car if they are planning to seriously launch this vehicle in Pakistan.

Nevertheless, I still hope to see this vehicle in Pakistan as it looks like quite a good one!
