Probably because there isn’t much left about the automotive scene in Pakistan that could be published; except complaints, of course.

I don’t agree with the “diverse” part in the description of UAE’s landscape. It is a desert, shoreline and just a little bit of mountain, and the heat. That’s all. There’s little if any waterways, mountainous regions or forests and bush, flooding or extreme winters – all of which present a different set of challenges to the vehicles.

It must also be noted that UAE has world-class infrastructure, there is no need of an SUV or even having a car at all. There’s lots of high quality public transport, buses, metropolitan train (only in Dubai), ride-hailing apps, taxis and what not. Paved road of best quality is available everywhere. The only application of SUVs is recreational off-roading.

The article lightly touched the topic of modernization in the last sentence, which I agree with.
