2 – BEVs have made autonomous driving capabilities more mainstream not classic ICE or Hybrids. Also this comparison is like apples and oranges. He is talking as though he is a full victim of his own brainwashing. He is saying this like EVs are still “being only tested”. EVs are VERY MUCH HERE! If he refuses to see this very simple fact, his loss. If EVs were not mainstream, please explain the deadline? The GOVERNMENTS set the deadline NOT the Media. It is not just Cali. It is in MANY developed nations of the world. What will he do there? Say the same thing that he finds it “difficult”. Well, TOUGH! His problem NOT theirs. Plays ball or get off the field! its that simple.

3 – Many Companies in China are “playing with a full deck”. For example, BYD. It sells Hybrids and EVs ONLY. Just like the times demand and the deadline demands. Toyota is the one NOT PLAYING WITH THE FULL DECK. They are stuck because of this guy only concentrating on ICE and Hybrids. Even BYD is making EVs for them because they botched it up completely. Toyota’s/Akio’s strategy needs some strategy to fix it.
