What we have now here is a government mandated move towards EVs. If left to open market competition, EVs will never beat ICEs. It is an artificially created non-level playing field and that was what I think he ranted on.

I agree, electric cars require charging and that power comes from national grid that is mostly-based on pollution causing power plants. Even the developed countries cannot rid themselves of nuclear reactors for generating power and those reactors are considered harmful to environment. Furthermore, I also agree that global warming is a well-executed plan to mislead the masses, why so much concern now? When people have been polluting since, well, for so many years now.
