Same old engines. Headlights (in the speculative rendering) from the Fortuner Legender. Coming up to Euro 6 when Euro 7 is going to be a thing soon.

The only new thing is the electric power steering, which should have come a long time ago anyway.

And lo-and-behold, this is the generational change.

So much so that even Toyota going forward will use BYD's Hybrid and Plugin Hybrid technology in their vehicles. First in China and then it will use it in other markets. And now to cope with their bad approach to the new age, all the Japanese companies are doing is merge to survive. Don't know how mergers will help them with this attitude and their self destroying commitment to older technology. 🤷‍♂️ This is just sad! How far the mighty have fallen.]]> No innovative technological jump. No increase in capabilities. No increase in features. No hybrid or Plugin Hybrid or EV versions. Just a name change and new bits welded on to older frames. Even the design seems to be “inspired by” the Mitsubishi Triton: 🤦‍♂️
