Toyota seems to have just dismissed the Greenpeace data out of hand. Why? If Greenpeace has these concerns, they have been in the climate risk business for decades. If they have pointed out something, I would pay attention. They will not say such things without good reason. Instead of making it a PR/fragile ego thing, Toyota should be pouring over the data to see what it missed. But I’m sure, given the strange corporate culture in Japan, the guys actually handling this cannot say anything to the company heads because of some strange cultural thing; And instead of preparing to counter the risks, they are only thinking of recovery after the disaster. Toyota putting all its eggs in the wrong basket once again.

At least Nissan makes more business sense than Toyota. Its taking it more seriously.
