You are absolutely right. They can launch such rebadged cars but going by the track record of our business leaders involved in this sector, it is far beyond their understanding. They much rather play their political games and make things worse for themselves.

Any sector where expansion and innovation are fought against by the very people who stand to benefit the most from such additions means the sector is not healthy nor is it thriving in any way.

agree. one company two countries two approaches. also i was thinking if Toyota can launch rebadged Suzuki cars in India and vice versa why not in Pakistan? Why can’t be have a Toyota version of Alto or Suzuki’s version of Corolla?

What stark contrast in the business acumen of these companies in the two countries. In India, expand and increase revenue and business scope. In Pakistan, manipulate the policies to get your way and an easy ride thereby creating the very toxic environment that is now killing these businesses. But still, they are doing everything to maintain that toxic status quo rather than find ways to expand the business and bring in more revenue. Like any drug addict, they know it is bad for them but they just cannot stop or change their ways.
