You can look through the data provided in the link. Historically Hino has had very good sales always. Almost every year. But see the trend. Year by year the Chinese buses/trucks have creeped on Hino’s sale. Last Fiscal year 2020-2021, the Chinese trucks sales increased by a good margin and over took hino’s sale. It has to start somewhere right? Now we see the numbers of that happening. Ignore them or study them, your choice.

Ok so cheating is fine and forgivable when Toyota does it, but when any other company that isn’t Japanese does it, it’s a crime? Bhai wah! 😐👏

Does the cheating affect the product’s capability to perform? It is still doing fine and in fact in Pakistan Hino trucks and semis are still selling more than cheaper boxes made by Chinese. For reference read through reviews about Hino semi, truck and bus.
Anyway, acceptance of a mistake is something that must be appreciated, by the way, they were not caught, had they been, they would have been penalised just like they were imposed in Lexus’s recall of 2009 or as of late Hyundai and KIA were forced to pay penalties.

whats so good old about this? they cheated & got caught. yes, and they were cheating for many many years. even their own investors are punishing them but here we hjave fan boys praising them for doing evil

Great point, but then, the company themselves has ultimately caused this to happen! By not funding and paying enough to allow any sort of development in emissions quality and fuel efficiency of these commercial vehicles, what are these engineers even supposed to do? They certainly can’t do any development without any financial support from the company.

Toyota blaming their engineers for bad emissions is like a farmer kicking it’s donkey for fainting from exhaustion.

So that means all these years Hino, and by extension Toyota, were NOT putting compliance first. They were just going along with fudging the numbers for years and keeping quite about it.
