You are absolutely right.

Our problem are the industrialists who are in charge locally. They are just as corrupt as the rest of the system. If a lie is easily accepted by the government and the masses and then regurgitated by the government and the masses, verbatim and without the need for verification, WHY NOT?!

The other major fault is with the government bodies who’s job it is to verify such claims. But they instead take the easy route and accept whatever these companies tell them. Company “donations” hard at work! 🤦‍♂️

I have mentioned it many times. The hundreds of thousands of indirect market jobs claimed by the local japs companies must be verified. How many stores do you know of which only deal in one brand specifically. (there are some but not many). Almost all stores keep parts for each brand. Are they double or triple counting the stores? They have convinced the government they are the back bone of the auto sector. That could not be further from the truth. Places like Shobha or Sultan ka khoo etc. are the life blood of the auto industry. Places like these were what ran the auto industry in Pakistan long before the three japs ever darkened our door.

The only reason they make such measured claims in Russia is because they are aware that there is someone sitting somewhere in a government office who will verify what they put out and hold them accountable of any misleading claims they make. So they have to be careful. Not so in Pakistan. They know they have the run of the country and can pretty much do as they please. Just commit a little more “donations”.

Note for Ali Khan: This — is really important. If Toyota is ceaseing & desisting from Russia, only 2000 people are being unemployed, it is mentioned above in the article. But when Toyota Indus &/or PAMA goes to pressurize/ask favors from the government in Pakistan, they always threaten the job loss of 500,000 jobs.
