Instead of cooking up elaborate ways of still “planning” their EV move to somehow show the world “Toyota can do it better”, I have a very simple suggestion.

If anyone from Toyota is listening, instead of botching and butchering your move to EV, just combine the two. Toyota, with its obsession with ICE (Especially their CEO’s obsession), can simply concentrate on Extended Range EVs.
Think about it. Toyota is always boasting that ICE is still the future. So, Prove it. This will be their chance. Make the best EREV they can. Show the world that ICE is still relevant in the age of EVs.

I’m still surprised why Toyota has ignored EREVs till now? 🤔 They seem the best way forward for them. Why not work on them exclusively? 🤷‍♂️

Trying to put their own flair and spin on EV tech is delaying their transition and while they are simply still planning, the rest of the EV manufacturers, who actually have products on the market, are leaving them far behind. I hope the wheels don’t fall off Toyota’s plans. 🤣🤪

Come to think of it Toyota’s EV plans seem to be like Dr. Evil’s plans to take over the world. 🤣🤣🤣
