So the comment above https://carspiritpk.com/toyota-unveils-hilux-revo-bev-prototype-and-imv-0-concept-in-thailand/#comment-13209 was incomplete, it should look like this:

Reading deeper into the article, words like “Hilux owners in Thailand tend to extensively customize their vehicles to fit their daily usage” and “This pickup truck is like a blank sheet of paper“, it is just fancy marketing speak which in plain words means that the cars are featureless and need to aftermarket retrofits/upgrades to finally become suitable for use.

This is similar to how people get their Toyota, Suzuki or Honda in Pakistan and immediately go to Sehgal motors or Tariq road accessories market for things which come standard in other countries but need to be aftermarket-fitted in Pakistan. OTOH Chinese cars come so overloaded with requisite features that there is no need.
Isn’t it is some special kind of spinstering to sugarcoat featureless and under-equipped under alternate words i.e. “customizable”?

The IMV-0 — also — looks like a racoon.

The IMV-0 is ugly as anything. It is so contradictory that the hundreds of BEV manufacturers from various countries of the world come up with very aerodynamic, well-sculpted and pleasing-to-the-eye designs for BEV sedans, SUVs, CUVs, sports cars and pickup trucks. Yet Toyota somehow manages to make a very ugly, poorly proportioned BEV truck with nonsense color combination. What is the purpose of gray-bordering the white door? Why is the rear overhang that long? Why a gray sideskirt outline for a vehicle which already is quite high from the ground – that too displayed on a matching-color floor? Wheel arches’ shape is equally ugly and belongs to some dumper instead of a small LCV.
Ulatra-narrow tyres on the Hilux Revo BEV give it a very unappealing look. They could just have increased the wheelbase or put wheel spacers in it to at least make it look proportional. Why they just retrofitted the 7-year old 8th gen Hilux with BEV system is another surprise. Hilux tends to have a 10-years generational cycle so why not base it on the up-and-coming expected 9th gen Hilux that’s going to come around in an year or 3?
