Here is the official price list for Toyota Vietnam. I had not checked it out in a while. Man! they have really expand their lineup there. It looks and feels like a company really wanting to do business in an open market; and not like a company doing everything possible for the last three decades to undermine the local auto industry and in the process (now) damaging themselves as well. 🤦‍♂️

They even have the 12th gen Corolla HEV there as well; the one our local cheetahs are still holding hostage for some reason. Can’t get their TNGA right or some other bahana.

Even the new Land Cruiser is priced at 4.72 Caror PKR (at latest conversion rates) in Vietnam. Here we are looking at a price tag of almost 20 caror!!!. Both (In Vietnam and in Pakistan) are imported! 🤯

They have some SUVs and MPVs like the Toyota Raize and the Toyota Avanza and the Velos Cross which are cheaper than the corolla by a good margin. There are even versions of the Toyota Hi-Lux which are cheaper than the corolla! I hope the fan boys are listening. There are cheaper versions of the hi-lux in the world and not the over priced ones being sold here. Even the top of the line ones are cheaper in Vietnam than in Pakistan. How sad!

Why didn’t these ever make their way to Pakistan? Why is the lineup here so limited, old and overpriced? And still they ask for more money! 😡🤦‍♂️

And now with the current crisis, I hope these companies are seen for what they are; an extra un-necessary expenses on us which, for now, the country can do without.

Maybe Jamali was feeling left out and this was his way of throwing a tantrum!

What the heck fanboys! you should thrown some love his way. Maybe right now you would have gotten a reduction instead. 🤷‍♂️🤣
