United Motors, the company behind 800cc Bravo hatchback is reportedly in talks with Chery Automobile Company of China to introduce Chery branded cars in Pakistan. United introduced the 800cc Bravo hatchback back in September 2018 however the car hasn’t been able to do as good as it was anticipated. Whether the company will continue offering the Bravo when Chery arrives is yet unknown at this stage.

As per insider sources there is a sort of discontent between United and the parent company Dahe in China regarding the quality of cars & United is only delivering the units based on the inventory of parts already in stock. United is now looking for possible replacement of its vendor to carry on with its 4 wheeler operations.

The company was also supposed to introduce the Panjnad pickup in Pakistan but in nearly 2 years, there is no sign of the pickup being launched in the market. Whether United will pull the plugs off the Bravo is yet unknown at this stage, the company officials declined to comment though. Furthermore it is also being said that the replacement car might as well continue to be called as Bravo and will act as a new model of the existing hatchback.

According to information if the deal goes through, Chery cars will initially be imported by United as CBU and will be assembled locally at later stages. How well Chery is going to fare under United’s umbrella, & whether it’s going to be any other car, we will have to wait to find out. Stay tuned to CarSpiritPK for more information.
