Launching Kizashi with the Suzuki logo was never gonna be a successful idea imo

It shows how futuristic the approach of the artist was, even a decade and a half ago. Now this V-shape formed by the headlights & grille is so ubiquitous in for example Lexus and so many other carmakers, I’ll wait for Not a Robot, Truong or Ali Khan to make a list of vehicles on which this shape is present.

Regarding the production model, its shape also was timeless. It would not feel obsolete on the roads today in 2023.

I distinctly remember seeing a Kizashi twice on I.I Chundrigar road in 2014. Just a guess that it would have been some bank’s CEO’s car or pool car. It was in cream/off-white colour with pearlescent mixings in it. And it had some formidable road prestige. I still haven’t forgotten the impression it made on me.

Suzuki has nobody to blame but itself. When it is adamant to keep selling 44+ years old Bolan & Ravi, who would accept it as modern? When pointing towards the sign of good things to come, there must also be enough attention towards letting go of bad things or things which aren’t good enough for this modern era. Unfortunately it looks like they didn’t learn anything from this fiasco; 2007 to 2015 to 2023, the stubborn behavior continues.

By the way did anybody note that the previous article on Kizashi (https://carspiritpk.com/pak-suzuki-and-the-unfortunate-kizashi/) is from the very initial days of this blog. According to my calculation, it was the 71st article published on this blog. Comparatively, this is the 5684th article (5685th if you count the one deleted article too).
