This thing is creating problems where there should not be any. I’m sure the designer of the ora line must be very taken with the beetle because all the cars are modifications of that design. Instead of just copy, paste and modifications, they could have given their own exterior design elements that gave this brand its own identity. But I believe the lazy path was taken. That is why this has always been an oddity for me.

But having said that, this line was displayed in the UK and people loved it! It’s very chic/stylish but it’s a legal nightmare. Instead of making their brand into legal gossip, they could have done it right and established their own identity. That would have made more of an impact when they did enter the euro market properly.

I believe it’s a case of “great product, lousy packaging”. 😁

Speaking of which, the New Beetle has been (or will be) discontinued due to diminishing sales, which also explains why there hasn’t been any new platform upgrades to the model.
