Winners & Losers of April 2021 

Sales of local assembled car witnessed a 16% decline in April compared to that of March 2021 according to the data released by Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

Each month we bring you Winners & Losers comparison, where winners are those which witnessed an improvement in sales over the previous month and losers being those which suffer from a decline. Majority of cars took a dip in sales in April but still there were few which enjoyed an increase.

The biggest winner of April was none other than the newly launched Hyundai Elantra which went on sale on 21st March 2021. Compared to 46 units sold in March, Elantra saw 280 units sold in April registering a 508% increase. 

Hyundai Porter was the second-best performer of the month with 76.5% rise in sales. Other gainers were Suzuki WagonR with 15% increase in sales, while Isuzu D-Max was also able to find 10 more buyers compared to the 20 from preceding month.

Among those which suffered from decline, Honda BR-V tops the list with a massive 57% reduction in sales followed by Suzuki Swift with 49% less units sold in April compared to March. The rest of the lot suffered from a decline with least affect on Toyota Hilux, Suzuki Alto and Hyundai Tucson.
