Now according to the latest information by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=586667706817932&amp;set=a.543239951160708\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Auto Journal<\/em><\/a>, there was no Civic assembled by the company in March 2023, and there were no sales either.<\/p><div class=\"carsp-in-article\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; clear: both; \" id=\"carsp-1108550433\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-3921992284533937\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-3921992284533937\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"2279435244\" \ndata-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>After the COVID-19 lockdowns three years ago, this is the first time the company has seen zero output and sales. The main cause of this is a lack of inventory at its disposal since Honda, like most other assemblers, is still largely dependent on imports and cannot sustain its supply chain due to import restrictions put in place by the government as the country continues to struggle with dwindling dollar reserves.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-50138 aligncenter\" title=\"civic pk 2\" src=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/civic-pk-2-850x478.jpg\" alt=\"civic pk 2\" width=\"850\" height=\"478\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/civic-pk-2-850x478.jpg 850w, https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/civic-pk-2-250x141.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Honda Atlas was already observing non-production days in regular intervals since August 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/honda-to-keep-its-plant-shut-for-the-rest-of-the-month\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">kept its plant shut<\/a> for the entire month of March starting from the 9th of that month, and <a href=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/honda-extends-plant-shutdown-for-another-15-days\/\">announced to extend<\/a> the NPD (non-production days) for another 15 days. But since the company now presents <a href=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/honda-will-present-br-v-and-hr-v-sales-as-combined-figure\/\">combined data<\/a> for HR-V and BR-V sales, it shows 2,807 units in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year (when HR-V wasn&#8217;t launched) versus 3,673 units in the current FY23 (including both BR-V &amp; HR-V).<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/carspiritpk.com\/dismal-future-of-the-auto-sector-of-pakistan\/\" rel=\"bookmark\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Dismal Future of the Auto Sector of Pakistan<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The steeply declining auto sales trend is attributed to economic &amp; political instability, plant closures, outrageously increasing car prices, expensive auto financing due to very high interest rates, and customers\u2019 constantly shrinking purchasing power.
