However, I think its the other way around. Not just in Pakistan but around the world, people argue with their own perceived outlook on a matter and their own preferences/comfort zone. And like you said bias is a big part of it.

Not a lot actually come at an issue from a objective standpoint; by looking at hard data and verifiable facts and looking through unbiased eyes.

You are right, brand worship is very common. And it has become almost the only way for some to justify/display their status. And emotions are involved; they are well on display when these brands are not spoken well. Experienced it many times. Still do! 😄
I personally don’t care for the brands. Just the technology; which seems forever beyond the horizon in Pakistan.

There is no concept of bias-reduction training here. Being biased is the cultural norm. If you don’t have a bias or try to be neutral, you’ll be an outcast.
