Quick update to your clearly outdated info.

The ban is for pure internal combustion engine only cars. BYD is leading the pack when it comes to EV and Hybrids. And the reason is because it is doing most production in house; By-passing a lot of eth chip shortage issue.

As far as Denza goes, BYD has increased its share to 90%. Meaning it is the front man to the brand and the decision maker. Merc at this point is a silent partner. Majority tech coming from the brand is also BYD.

forget about everything, everyone now knows very well that any news about Byd is bound to give you loose motions 😀 and according to you any progress by chinese is a publicity stunt, every chinese car has to be a copy and any chinese tech is harmful for the mankind.

ps. would u mind telling us why didn’t u rant a single time about Byd in that Toyota bz3 post? or according to u anything that has to do with Toyota becomes halaal 😀

The article is negating two past C.S.P. publications at-least, one research pertained to its G.P. margin, which back then remained lower than ICE car makers, the article was issued not a very long time ago. Second, BYD and hybrids, how can then it be the first automaker to ditch ICE cars? Third, cost of producing EVs were getting higher owing to availability of raw materials, how can then company become profitable than I.C.E. car makers? I think that given current scenario and Warren Buffet current take on investments, it can safely be said that B.Y.D. is dreaming itself as trouble to established automakers who hold status in customers’ eyes. Status is something that B.Y.D. can never achieve because to the world China is no more than provender of cheap copies that are embellished with features and made from the sweat and blood of Uyghur people.
As for its exponential growth, well, already its batteries are showing signs of problems in Chinese market cars, apart from recall, batteries are being replaced in cars showing up for normal servicing. Add this cost to cost of recall and company’s profits for the year 2022 are going to take on a mighty dip and subtract the cost of advertising the company is doing to get the stain of nosebleed in children cleaned, well, one can only say it would be a long shot if it is even able to maintain its Chinese market. Lastly, this Denza brand is a Chinese and 50:50 ratio based joint operation, a fact that article is missing to report and making it out as though it is a purely European brand.
