Companies like Tesla and Rivian will stay premium class and name brand luxuries (like Apple) and in competition to them, there will be more than a dozen cars from a dozen companies offering even better options, if not the exact same options, and they will be 3-4 times cheaper.

more than 10 years ago they had 150 automakers within China including big names and smaller ones, today including the sub-brands the number is well above 300. imagine if these options started to come out of China, and I agree with Not a Robot it will be more like the case with mobile phones. We might not be able to even recognize these cars since there will be too many of these around and coming out with new iterations every other day. and that’s exactly what Europeans and Japanese fear about. global car market after 10 years will not be the same as it used to be
