It all boils down to good marketing, advertisement and customer service. FAW being in hands of Al Haj at that time was terrible in all of these things, and now we are seeing the same fate with Proton.

How come these brands are so widely accepted and appreciated for their quality and reliability yet people like you are the only ones to always beat the drums of doom for no reason?

I believe people like you were also there when for the first time jap cars were introduced to the Pakistan market all those decades ago. My father tells me how people would laugh at anyone who bought a jap car or how they would also say the same thing like poor quality, no reliability or parts availability. Now the dynamics have changed. the japs are the mainstay and the Chinese the new comers. In a few years the japs will be on the way out and the Chinese will be the mainstay. Its just the way things work…

If, in a few decades, some new brands come along, there will be people like you defending the Chinese brands and calling the new ones unreliable and what not…
