Interestingly, I’ve read that car companies actually go thru a stage where they check if the name they chose for their new vehicle doesn’t translate as a slur/slang/bad word in a foreign language. If it does, they usually launch that vehicle in a different name over there, or they change the entire name of the car itself.

Like how Honda went with the “Jazz” name for European markets for their Honda Fit instead of the proposed “Fitta” because the name meant a lot of impure things in Swedish and other European languages… 😳😂

That’s cool. But on the other hand if they name it comodo, and it comes to Pakistan and for some reason the ‘O’ at the end of “comodo” fell off. That will be …. Unfortunate.
