In reply to Khurram. Nobody is claiming that it is a world changing design. All I'm saying is it is very interesting and much more unique than anything Toyota has done recently. That is, if you call Toyota coping old Honda designs world changing, that is your twisted reality. Taking about strategic management; Toyota made EVs in the 90s and then just forgot about them. They revisited the EVs in 2010 with the help of Tesla. They again deemed them not worth their time. So much so that they EVEN SOLD ALL THEIR SHARES IN TESLA; even though the signs were there that EVs were becoming a thing. They have squandered all their decades of experience in Hydrogen fuel cell technology and are now interested in Hydrogen ICE cars! Meanwhile Chinese brands have been concentrating on Hybrids, Plug-in Hybrids and EVs. BYD was the first to introduce the Plug-in Hybrid to the world in 2008. A fact even Usman Bhai shared with you. So they beat the japs at their own game. Now they are offering affordable hybrids, are leaders in battery manufacturing and are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the hybrid and the EV market in all the developed world. You are right, "strategic management IS more than just one path toward an objective". The Chinese are winning hands down. Toyota's strategic management seems have fallen victim to inhaling too much exhaust fumes.

It is a same crossover design based vehicle, it is not as though it is destined to be stated as a new type of vehicle but maybe to Uyghur mincing community merely including creases on the same structure now qualifies as a future design?

P.S. Chinese and hybrid, a true slap on illiterate commentators calling Toyota for holding the world of EV back, goes to show that strategic management is more than just one path toward an objective.
