I knew the question would be raised and yes for Toyota I have a soft spot because I have already used the brand. Moreover, Toyota is an already proven brand, it has a very long connection with people, in fact generations of them, using the product and testifying its durability. Besides, I do not remember Toyota performing these tests in its infancy stage, whereas Changan is doing those tests in its early life, in other words, it is trying very hard to prove its worth. Why? Does it not trust its product? Why the chagrin why not let people, actual users spread the word about car durability? Besides, we all know that Toyota’s parts, bushes dampers ball joints belts tie-rods are very long life, and people can support this fact, what’s more from their personal use of the car. Can Changan claim anything about its parts life?
Simply put, my question, now, for marketers of Changan what is the cost of getting the car reach 100,000 kilometers, would quality of parts, required for up-keeping a car, be the same as Toyota? In other words, what kind of overhaul would be required once the car has reached 100,000 kilometers?

Looooooooooong way to go. There is very little infrastructure for hydrogen vehicles in USA alone, forget the world. Most of the hydrogen refill stations are in California, and very few are in other states. Also keep in mind that hydrogen is very expensive as a fuel to the point that Toyota and other hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing brands like Honda and Hyundai are actually offering around 10000$ incentives of free hydrogen fuel with the vehicles just so that people buy them.

Also, regarding the comment by Cyber Host below… I kinda beg the same question. Isn’t this a sort of publicity stunt too? Or is it blindly forgiven just cause it’s from Toyota? Do let me know.

That is impressive, in particular, it being driven in rush hours. However, I guess, there is still a long time before it makes it to Pakistan, support infrastructure required for running this car to its full potential isn’t available yet.
