In a moment chen everyone increased price, the fact Kia is decreasing the price in such a car is welcoming. For it’s seem this one is making more sales than the recently frechlifted Fortuner.
This 3rd generation when launched in Europe was aiming to Audi q7 and Volvo X90, in USA it was a huge success for his build quality.
But in Pakistan it didn’t get the attention it deserve.

By his logic Picanto must be selling more than Sportage which in turn should be selling more than Sorento? But Picanto in fact selling less than Sportage.

Did you notice his marketing spin on not selling a full frame ladder chassis SUV:

Sorento is on a passenger vehicle platform and distinguishes itself from a truck SUV and those who own a Sorento realize the comfort of this.

The entire interview is best. He tells us about his company’s strategy which translates into no Kia sedans to expected. His take on automotive policy and EV policy and PAMA membership is also worth reading, including his concepts on national car and localization. That article is also comprehensive with interview of CEO Indus and industry observers. Well worth the read.

About emissions his point is correct and previously discussed on CSP blog https://carspiritpk.com/auto-sales-trend-renders-widening-economic-divide-in-pakistan/#comment-7778 and https://carspiritpk.com/if-other-cars-were-as-old-as-bolan/#comment-7081 that the vehicles with highest amount of travel e.g. commuter buses should be targeted rather than the vehicles with least amount of travel.

Moreover about the motorcycles it has also been discussed that in Euro2 the motorcycles are allowed much higher rate of pollution than a Euro2 car or even a Euro2 bus/truck https://carspiritpk.com/blame-where-the-blame-is-due/#comment-8045 so motorcycle is the sector where they should control the emissions firstly.
