1 – Customer reviews are NOT the same as the survey. You just read customer reviews. That has nothing to do with the survey. IF you still think you are right, can you please share any link so that we can all see what it is you are talking about? After all we are here to share and learn.

2 – thirdly, mobile oil available at a reasonable price is not compatible with modern engines.”

However, before this, you have claimed that”

“I see imported motor oil being praised in the comments, even though P.S.O. is equally good.”

https://carspiritpk.com/hyundai-pakistans-kashmir-day-tweet-results-in-backlash-in-india/#:~:text=I%20see%20imported%20motor%20oil%20being%20praised%20in%20the%20comments%2C%20even%20though%20P.S.O.%20is%20equally%20good.

Which one is it? On the one hand you claim PSO is just as good as the imported, more expensive, stuff. Now you are saying the opposite by making the local oil a negative for our market. can you clarify?

3 – You are right. Roads in Pakistan are much worse. However, when talking about such vehicles that are considered “premium” in Pakistan, we are mostly talking about vehicles that drive on city roads and the motorways.

However, having said that, even in the area where I live, in the past couple of years, I have seen a wide adoption of SUVs from Kia and Hyundai. In fact over a year ago, when the authorized Kia dealership started in our area, I thought it would not run. Our area was always heavily biased towards only Japani. Nothing else would do. How I was wrong. Now, I see new vehicles in the dealership almost every week. Sportage, Sorento, Stonic and even the Carnival; all are selling very well. I have also seen a lot of Hyundai Tucson and Sonata. This is in an area that was heavily ‘japanified’.

The reason for sharing all that was to ask you one simple question. In an area such as ours, with its very bad village roads, and people who are very heavily biased towards Japani and swear by its quality, why the noticeable change towards other brands if those brands did not give them the quality and peace of mind as the pervious desi japani ones? Is that not a testament to the quality of the Koreans?

4 – In the graph shared, Toyota and Lexus are 5th and 6th while Hyundai and Genesis are 3rd and 4th. (Genesis is the luxury brand of Hyundai as you would know).
So what you are saying is, Toyota is good on the bad roads here, but when it comes to working on very good and nicely paved highways and freeways, they have problems?
They were all running on the same good roads. Why the 5th and 6th places for Toyota and Lexus?

5 – Buddy you are getting predictable. Not a Robot predicted your arguments 8 hours before you made them.🤣🤣🤣

I am pretty sure that a vehicle pulling under conditions where continuous start stop is required is more prone to get damaged as to one running on a highway / freeway.

Yes, of course…. Traffic in big cities like LA and New York flow so freely and have such low accident rates you’d think they have the best traffic system in the world 🤣😂

Agree with you! They should’ve rigorously tested each and every vehicle of it’s respective brand on the broken roads of Orangi Town for 12 YEARS and also compare it with availability of total percentage of spare parts of each car brand in the nearest local adda each and every year.

Then and then ONLY will I listen to them. 🤓🤪

At the any rate, this score cannot be expected to remain same in the case of Pakistan. Firstly, quality of petrol is not good, secondly, roads are not friendly, thirdly, mobile oil available at a reasonable price is not compatible with modern engines. Fourthly, driving behavior is way different than one found in the U.S… I am pretty sure that a vehicle pulling under conditions where continuous start stop is required is more prone to get damaged as to one running on a highway / freeway.

this JD Power list is total BS. how come 3 out of top 5 brands are Koreans? and how come Toyota at number 5?

The industry-wide study examines problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of three-year old vehicles (2019 model year).

this is called bias. why did they choose cars experienced in past 12 months and why not past 12 years? coz no car can last without problems for 12 years and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx kms other than Good Old Toyota 😆 🤣

Hyundai and Kia have stepped up their game in reliability, no surprise though with how it is the same as Toyota and Daihatsu.
