I understand your point of view, yes proton could make a hit in the market, and it wasn’t their fault because Malaysia was badly touched by covid, also Malaysia manufacture components like semiconductor for brand like Toyota, so when Malaysia went on lockdown Toyota was affected worldwide.
According to news for this month they should deliver 108 CBU units of X-70 in Pakistan and start delivering CKD kits for saga,will see in the coming month how it will go, Proton is only starting.
The culture of own is what slowing down the sales. And it is not up to Proton but for local vendor for every brand unfortunetely.

Proton is lagging a lot in delivering vehicles on time. They could have captured the 5 Million market with X-70 but failed to do so because of their own negligence. Own price on X-70 is between 6-10 lacs. Delivery times taking months or even crossing year.

Kia Sorento is making sale slowly , they don’t have to rush to much with the launch of new vehicle Kia.
Among sub compact crossover this Stonic got his place, but as we know Proton may launch the gorgous x-50, if it become true well i think it won’t sale as good as the X-50.
Also Toyota is gearing up to assemble hybrid cars in Pakistan, if corolla cross is assembled in Pakistan no doubt price will become cheaper, but this Stonic could remain cheaper than Corolla cross. The market will bcome more challenging and more interesting.
