A lot of question you ask, it was because of covid 19, you know al haj and proton sign the agreement in 2019, so in less than 2 years the assembly plant is ready and delivey of Proton CKD has started.
Malaysia was badly touched by covid 19, and they try their best to provide the Pakistani customers, as you may know they can import 100 cbu units after that they will get taxes to pay, they bring around 600 CBU units,it is few but at least they didn’t took part of Pakistan unbalanced economy.
They didn’t increase their price until recently and only for Proton Saga, it means Proton X-70 remains the best deal in his category as compact SUV in Pakistan.
All of that in less than a year after the launch of both cars kind of good from a newcomer, but what everyone is agreed is the late deliveries and own/premium done by al haj seller, and it is them we should blame and taking actions against them.

Al-haj Proton is a LIAR from day 1. Lockdown in Malaysia started from 1st June 2021 but Proton has been making it an excuse for zero deliveries of X70 which was launched in December 2020, 6 months before lockdown in Malaysia and Saga was launched in April, 2 months before the lockdowns started in Malaysia. why they never delivered a single car in 6 months before the lockdowns?

And why they launch when they were not in position to deliver cars? i mean they got certificate from EDB in september so why launch cars in December and April? its a daylight robbery. they just collected money, enjoyed huge bank interests and now brazenly increase prices affecting all those who made advance payments. they think cheating and hurting consumer confidence can bring them success, NO a BIG NO… Proton Malaysia should look into this other wise they will have to pack up and leave because AL-HAJ sucks

I am surprised, the peoples who are saying they are cheater and lier and fraud. What about Suzuki Toyota and Honda. They never bothered in the past to announced without any reason about the price hikes, two or three times in a year and late deliveries to get ON money.

Toyota increase prices 1.8 to 5.8Lacs
Honda Increases 65K to 2.5Lacs
Suzuki Increases 1.61 to 3.97Lacs

People should speak and raise your voice in balance not biest for specific.

First time Proton increase their price i won’t complain, sicne they added features making the car better, i will say this is some king of compensation.
The fact they started deliveries of CKD units after a month of assembly it is a good timing, i hope for them they become more reasonable with deliveries time in the future.

You doesn’t make any sense it wasn’t with the profit money of x-70 they built their assembly plant, they was million in investment before buy both al haj and the malaysian Proton itself.
This is the first increase in price compared to changan who is already in his 3rd time in less than a year.

Al-haj is a biggest cheater. they are fraud. the group was running in severe financial troubles, key people left jobs, FAW was unhappy with them as al-haj had to pay huge sum of liability money back to them. so they launched Proton X70 collected huge money and used that to complete the plant and kept giving lame excuses about delivery delays.. then they sold all cbu units on heavy on-money to people and earned millions. then they launched saga when their plant wasn’t ready and was not approved by EDB team, certificate was issued in September almost 5 months after Saga launch but still company collected huge money from customers and made them wait for more than 8 months and now shamelessly increased prices which is applicable to all those who are waiting from months to get deliveries. this is absolutely pathetic. people should cancel their bookings and demand REFUND.

and ironically our govt will remain a silent spectator to these malpractices.
