He will first come and question you if the Hyundai Coupe lasted ten years without needing parts and he will then question if the parts of the Coupe were available/cheap or not, and then he will tell you how Toyota is literally best, while making a lot of contradictory points trying to prove it 😉]]> In reply to NFS.

Man… How things used to be. Only if we were thankful back then, but back then how could we know how bad things would get… 😔

When Hyundai Coupe came to Pakistan, it was a better time. Used JDM imports had been relaxed, even then many companies came in with new cars. Some examples I can remember are Proton, Geely, Hyundai, Chery and GoNow.

I have memories of racing Hyundai Tiburon in Need for Speed.

I’m waiting for someone to come in and wax lyrical about how Toyota is best, cheap side mirrors, ease of repair and resale value and how crash protection is a sign of weak faith &c.

I had zero idea of ANY coupe being sold in Pakistan, hahaha. This car was quite the head turner, as it was a cornerstone for Hyundai as it’s first successful sports coupe model, and a predecessor to the Hyundai Veloster, which is even more successful. The Coupe also came with a 2.7l V6 in American and other markets, however, this car didn’t see much success there because it was regarded as having a lack of power… lol.

It’s nice to know how things used to be in Pakistan. I hope Hyundai Nishat Motors or Kia Lucky Motors also launches a vehicle in this segment as well in Pakistan (Hyundai Veloster or Kia Cerato/Forte Koup, Ceed or any of their GT line vehicles).
