Still using Suzuki margala 97 but problem with carburetor. Otherwise fine car. Love Suzuki

Kudos to the writer for this highly researched and well-written article. Our family owned Suzuki Margalla between 2008 and 2018. The strong points of the car included a solid engine, smooth drive, and good looks (particularly the Green color version).

However, the suspension of the car was not that great that required frequent repairs. Moreover, the fuel average (8-9 km per liter) and AC performance of the car were not good.

Overall, I was highly satisfied with the purchase. There was no engine trouble in the 10 years of ownership. I sold the car in 2018 in a good condition. Even after 20 years of long drive, it did not have major issues.

i also have margalla 1996 old interior one with power steering and power windows company fitted 1.3 top speed 195 km/h one of the best car shooter pick up smooth driving reliable comfort

Cultus was just a hatchback version of Margalla… no transformation was needed 🙂

It was transformed into Cultus, and now Cultus shud be turned back to margala shape again with 1300cc engine ,

Reasonably comfortable, spacious interior, very good engine performance, reliable and easy spare availability made it amazing car. I kept it for nearly a decade and still remember it. Someone used to say ‘bari Gaari ka Maza aur choti gaari ka kharcha’
