Many vehicles used in political rallies allegedly tend to be snatched ones.

No sane policeman is able to go into a politically charged gun-toting insane lawless crowd of the thugs of the land to find out whether the vehicles they are using are legit or stolen. Elections anyway are a display of power and what better way to tell the public their worth than to strip them of their peace and possessions. Moreover the police is usually assigned to provide protection to these rallies.

If anyone is in his/her senses, he/she won’t buy the SUV near the elections. The only end-result they can expect is that it will snatched, sometimes at the cost of the lives of the driver and passengers. The sensible people adopt a low profile near and during the elections and move most of their wealth out of the country.

If the sales ever picked up near the elections, it must be some businessman who wants to support his fav candidate, or simply because he/she is kidnapped for ransom by the political parties. Democracy hasn’t achieved anything (yet) to root out the lawlessness of the ruling class. Jagga bhatta is in fashion in full force.
