thats a typical “seth” attitude.. bhai jab product me value hogi to volumes aur profit khud bakhud aeyga? how can he expect a 14 years old car to give him profits when you are not giving basics like EPS, LED lights etc?

Saga is quickly becoming the Bolan/Mehran of Malaysia. Hope this great country doesn’t send its automotive scene to the same abyss we are suffering.

Roslan saahib’s comments and actions are paradoxical. On the one hand he is talking about volume and in the same breath do not offer AEB in all his models. Won’t AEB in volume production cost less to the vendor …. and …. as a result per unit price will be cheaper for Proton to buy?

He can replace hydraulic power steering with electric power steering, something which does not involve rocket science and is easy R&D. HPS requires so many parts & fluid, why not get rid of it altogether and make his product cheaper? Change to LED headlight, parking light, indicator and taillight.
Occassional small technical improvements which reduce the cost of production as well as the cost of maintenance can still keep the car up-to-date despite no change in shape.

The talking style is condescending towards the customers. He could have talked about the value his product is offering at a low price point, instead he began talking about the financial problems of the customers. Very poor attitude.

this is the only true Malaysian car in Proton lineup. Rest are all as Chinese as any other Changan, GWM or Chery

Proton launching persona in Pakistan could be better, it was also a pure malaysian product, with a bigger engine of a 1.6L for nearly 140 hp, i wouldn’t think twice and would buy it even as an overseas, they launched a facelift version of Iriz and Persona in 2022.
The saga got a facelift to remains affordable, is a cheap Sedan, my personal opinion is since Proton is growing in the world by launching Proton in developping and emerging countries, it make sense to keep Saga everything else it is said in the article.
Anyway when they will launch the facelift version of Saga, now the interior is contemporary ?
