New entrants become winners …. for a while and then begin losing sales and the companies usually bankrupt in 5 or 6 years … and thus the consumers who dare to choose new entrants …. end up getting punished for their bravery …. and after a few years they also become the same risk-averse people who buy for resale.
Story has been repeating time and again since at least 1990.
