Excellent comment. Great information.

In the case of almost all the readers here you are “preaching to the choir” as the saying goes. Unfortunately, in the case of this particular person you are trying to talk to or reason with a true back bencher. He is always too busy “doing his own thing” (whatever that might be) to listen to logic or reason or to learn.
He has his own set of “alternative facts” and reality…😂.

Greatly worded comment. Now I understand why China does joint ventures and manufacturing/selling of their vehicles with very neutral foreign policies and stances. Indian auto companies have a habit of taking and using technology transfer from other auto companies for their own benefit (look at Mahindra and SsangYong; they only used them for their tech and expertise and then left them bankrupt once again). It makes sense that China is playing carefully to make sure that their competition, Japan (who already have a stronghold in providing manufactured homebrew vehicles in India) does not get their hands on China’s technology.

Or it could be national security interest. India and China are 2 very powerful rival countries neighbour to each other.
If India wanted to partner with Chinese automakers, would Chinese automakers want to partner with India? Would Chinese regulators allow it? Why do you think good old bania is the one whose making the decision of not choosing China? Giver makes the decision, beggars don’t choose. If India already knows China would reject India 100%, what option other than Japan does India have?

Perhaps the good old Japs are scrambling to sell to India because they can’t sell to China now, the largest population, so their option now is the second largest population India. Japs can’t sell to China now because – now – Chinese tech is better than Japanese tech and that is why Toyota is rebadging BYD Han as a Toyota BZ SDN Link: https://carspiritpk.com/toyota-bz-sdn-electric-sedan-to-debut-next-month/.

China’s demo of hydrogen-powered vehicles has not been limited to a single small passenger car used for a single journey – but a whole fleet of hydrogen-powered buses running around whole shifts and moving lots of people & luggage in the Olympics (remember what you always say about commercial transport having separate requirements than cars?) Link: https://carspiritpk.com/worlds-largest-demonstration-of-hydrogen-vehicles-at-2022-beijing-olympics/. Why would they give India this tech?

The great inferiority complex you have been demonstrating by putting the Japanese and the Indians on the pedestal has reached a new peak. Please stop making everything about money. There are other things, not equally, but much more important than money and that is self-esteem and national dignity – something you don’t appear to have yourself neither you are allowing others any. Please stop bashing Pakistanis, Pakistani companies, Pakistani education, Pakistan itself and its allies and stop putting other nations on a pedestal.

And wait … before you sing praises of Japan you must always keep in the forefront those topics of CSPK in which it has been clearly detailed that big 3 Japanese car manufacturers and their JV partners in Pakistan have been the root cause of lack of choice, lack of cheap options, wrong national policies, featureless unsafe cars at exorbitant prices. Japan has been an important ally of Pakistan on many fronts but unfortunately, in the auto sector it has only been an exploiter.

If you think about it, somehow even our “environmental” and “economical” steps have only been done to please the real Pakistanis aka the rich and elite. We made a whole auto policy with written “incentives” to specially provide vehicles to be easily affordable for the masses yet we still have to see a car get launched that isn’t above 20lacs or a 50+lac CUV. We have made a specialized EV policy allowing EVs to be MANUFACTURED with the most amount of incentives given but yet we still have to see an EV get ASSEMBLED, forget being manufactured that isn’t a big name luxury brand like Audi, BMW or; you guessed again! A 50+lac CUV.

Sometimes even with given written hope we still have it taken from us in our dear country. 😔

I wonder why the Indians are not partnering with any Chinese automakers, perhaps the good old bania mind knows that that investment would be unsafe.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of clean and cutting-edge mobility

Modi is a patent terrorist, a direct responsible of many massacres and responsible for increasing lack of tolerance and extremism. But … even this apparently vilest of the vile person has a vision for better mobility and clean breathable air.
In comparison how far below the mark the “visionaries” in Pakistan have been w.r.t to the past 35 or more years of “localization”, “deletion”, “assembling” and oil “refining”.
