If it was in the hand of these so called manufacturers they would have made importing car by a person himself extremely hard so that they would come to showrooms where they can charge as much as they like.

Quick comparison, here is the pricing for the Toyota Camry Hybrid in Philippines and India. Two other countries where the Camry Hybrid is a CBU import. Philippines - 2,420,000 pasos. (2.42 million pasos) Price in PKR - 10,100,772.61 (1 carors 10 lac PKR) India - 45 lac 25 thousand Indian rupees Price in PKR - 12,642,719.30 (1 caror 26 lac 43 thousand PKR PRICE OF CAMRY IN PAKISTAN 3 CAROR 82 LAC PKR!!! Please also keep in mind that India has some of the highest taxes on CBU cars in the region. We are WAY above them and Philippines. What does that say about the pricing of these vehicles (or even the locally assembled ones) in Pakistan then?
