These investors and own businesses have many cars in their inventory. The reason I know this is that you can see their ads on many cars buying and selling online sites in Pakistan. They are usually listed as some trading company.
From the pictures that I have seen they have huge lots where they park all their inventory outside exposed to the elements.
What the buyers should realise is that it’s not a case of them selling all their inventory every single day. Sometimes cars are parked there for a very long time. Meaning that the “new car” anyone buys on own might have spent weeks or maybe months on the lot especially in the case of slow selling models. Also, they will not sell the new arrivals on the lot. They will sell the oldest lot of cars first.
And you can’t do what we usually do in the nan shop and ask “Yar taza, garam nan dena”.
So the “new” car does not seem so new. It is more like the “thanda” nan.

Let’s hope this bubble actually bursts by people realizing that they’re paying too much premium for a vehicle, hopefully resulting in more realistic market car prices.

HOWEVER, it is very plausible that these investors would probably bring out a scheme where you can pay for your car in 10-20 year’s time in installments… if prices reach that high. I really hope that’s not the case 😰
