Sorry my bad. Let me clarify that there is an added step of conversion of methane into methanol that adds cost. But it is being used in the industrial sectors. Also research is being done to make the process of getting methanol from methane cheaper for further cost-effective use in vehicles. 👍👍

Buddy, we noted your concerns and we answered them. Maybe you should give them a read again. In the scenario discussed, the methanol engine IS much better than the hydrogen. The main reason being the production Of the two fuels. Methanol is cheaper. Period! Despite the proofs YOU were given against your argument, you still ignored them.

If production is the issue, you do know that it can be produced very easily and very cost effectively from organic waste/trash. You claim to have studied hydrocarbons and environmental issues in University. Yet, how did this simple process of methane gas capture from landfills get skipped in your studies? I did a simple Google search and got links to so many papers on the subject. Still, you should know South Korea is leading the pack in that. They use landfill gas capture to supply cities like Seoul. Cars should not be a problem. We can learn from them. So can the rest of the developing world. And it not that difficult to do. Just needs willing and honest leaders.

As for your argument of “alcohol haram don’t produce”. Maybe you need to do a simple Google search on how many products that we use every day that use alcohol. From baby wipes to medicines to medical alcohol wipes/disinfectants etc. to basic house cleaning items. The problem is putting it in your body. That is point Islam want to make. That is bad. So simple solution… resist that urge! 👍

Creepy?! This, coming from a guy who I know from the Pakwheels blog. You always advocated for boycotting France and French products. You, who later on clarified on many occasions, despite your reservations against French products, are living in France. Hypocrisy, dichotomy? What are we to make of that?

Mister, the stats by AutoJournal are of calendar year 2021 (means Jan-Dec), whereas my reply in that comment was “1638 units of Sonata have been sold so far during this fiscal year, but as per (unofficial) sources less than 500 units of Sorento were sold hence the price decrease & ready deliveries”. And considering the fact that fiscal year starts from July, the quote by “unofficial source” wasn’t too inaccurate… the sales of Sorento have sure picked up after the discounts & price retention though. I hope things must be ‘clear’ for everyone 🙂
