After the Federal Government’s imposition of a 25% General Sales Tax (GST) on SUVs, CUVs, and vehicles with an engine capacity of 1400cc and above, Regal Automobiles has once again announced a hike in the price of the DFSK Glory 580 Pro in Pakistan.
According to the company notification, the new price of DFSK Glory 580 Pro in Pakistan is Rs 6,990,000 witnessing an increase of Rs 490,000 from the previous price. Before, the vehicle was priced at Rs. 6,500,000. The new price will be in effect from March 14, 2023.
It is worth noting that the economic crisis has made it incredibly difficult for the domestic auto sector to do business as the local currency continues to fall and LC restrictions are also causing a shortage of inventory. Most assemblers are observing non-production days due to a lack of CKD parts in hand, while the government’s additional taxes add to the misery. Sales of locally assembled automobiles have already dropped by 73% and the situation doesn’t seem to improve soon.
