Nio Battery Swap Services Surpasses 60 Million Swaps

On December 13th, Nio celebrated a significant milestone, announcing that its battery swap service had surpassed 60 million swaps. With 2,785 swap stations in China and 909 along highways, the company continues expanding globally, reaching 2,500 operational stations by July, including 51 in Europe.

Since December, these stations have averaged around 80,000 swaps per day, equating to a battery swap every 1.08 seconds. This achievement underscores Nio’s growing impact on EV infrastructure.

The rise in battery swaps is largely driven by the sales of Nio’s Onvo L60 SUV, which saw 5,082 units delivered in November. In total, the company delivered 20,575 vehicles that month. While not all Nio swap stations support Onvo, the company is working to increase the number of compatible stations, which currently stands at 644. Nio plans to have 2,500 swap stations compatible with both Onvo and Nio vehicles by the end of 2025.
