A few hours later, PW Blog has come up with an update https://www.pakwheels.com/blog/suzuki-alto-to-get-new-safety-features-soon-sources/ stating that along with the price difference, there are indeed some safety upgrades. Let’s see what transpires.

If PakSuzuki is really upgrading the VX and VXR, they should discontinue the previous trim name and introduce a new one, to avoid confusion in the future.

While the inspiration may have been this CSP article, it is best for consumers that the same voice is being amplified from many publications.

On 25th Feb, the price of Alto has also increased https://www.pakwheels.com/blog/suzuki-alto-price-increased-by-massive-rs-120000/ without offering anything more to the consumer.

Comment on Suzuki Mehran is Still a Viable Budget-Friendly Small Car for the Masses by Saad Zafar https://carspiritpk.com/suzuki-mehran-is-still-a-viable-budget-friendly-small-car/#comment-18842 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 20:14:10 +0000 https://carspiritpk.com/?p=75655#comment-18842 I have been reading your blogs for A LOT of years now and I agree with everything you say so far. I loved the FAW V2 which I think was a market breaker. It became my realistic dream car back when I used to own a Mehran just because of the extraordinary features it offered for the exact same price of a Wagon R.

Allah made me able to buy FAW V2 4 years ago and Alhamdulillah the drive is awesome but sadly I am also looking to change it and downgrade to a Suzuki because of the Pakistani mindset that made the car discontinued.

I wrote this because you also used to advocate for the FAW V2.

Comment on Almost Half a Century- No Change- No Progress by EFI CG125 by Wuyang Honda China https://carspiritpk.com/almost-half-a-century-no-change-no-progress/#comment-18840 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 19:38:49 +0000 https://carspiritpk.com/?p=58280#comment-18840 In reply to Honda Thailand’s example updated EFi motorcycles!.

https://bigbikereviews.com/honda-cg125/

According to this page, Sundiro Honda and Wuyang Honda sell EFI CG125. Sundiro has changed it to OHC, so the engine is quite different, but for Wuyang, it is the same engine as Atlas CG125 but with EFI. It is called Wuyang Honda WY125-19.

Wuyang is a formidable JV partner for Honda https://global.honda/en/newsroom/news/2006/c060228-eng.html

CG125 https://www.wuyang-honda.com/home/cpzs/ryj/qsj/detail-694.shtml
CG125 special https://www.wuyang-honda.com/home/cpzs/ryj/qsj/detail-1050.shtml
CG125 Limited https://www.wuyang-honda.com/home/cpzs/ryj/qsj/detail-1311.shtml

EFI is written as 电喷 in Chinese, and the pronunciation is “diàn pēn”.

There’s a police model as well https://www.wuyang-honda.com/home/cpzs/ryj/jyj/detail-864.shtml which comes with disc brake which looks similar to that of CB150F.

Comment on Reflector vs Projector Headlamps by Samsung be commoditizing Adaptive Driving Beam https://carspiritpk.com/reflector-vs-projector-headlamps/#comment-18836 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 11:48:44 +0000 https://www.carspiritpk.com/?p=33243#comment-18836 In reply to Adaptive LED matrix headlight in the Benz EQE.

The adaptive matrix LED technology in Hyundai is from Samsung. Understably, since both are Korean brands. It is called PixCell parametric pixel lighting, suitable for headlights as well as taillights and others. It is a play on the word “pixel” (originally intended as a short form of “picture cell”, the smallest unit of light for the CRT screen).

Here is a small history of car headlights from Hyundai https://www.hyundai.news/eu/articles/stories/the-evolution-of-car-headlights.html, and here it is from Samsung https://led.samsung.com/automotive/automotive-modules/pixcell-led/. While Porsche utilizes 16,384 (128×128) individual micro-LEDs in its HD matrix lights https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2022/innovation/porsche-led-main-headlights-with-hd-matrix-beam-light-technology-30770.html, Hyundai is much cheaper as it uses a total of 100 (10×10) only, commoditizing the tech. While the standard 9006/HB4 low beam halogen bulb produces 900-1000 lumens, the Porsche puts forth around 1400 lumens, brighter enough for good illumination but low enough as not to effect the peripheral vision. While the Porsche offers 1024 stages of brightness for each of the individual micro-LEDs, Samsung don’t seem to offer any info about it, maybe it is just on/off functionality.
We must keep in mind that Samsung is a large vertically-integrated semiconductor manufacturing conglomerate and has the latest chip-manufacturing technology, researchers and large budget at its hand.

Comment on Reflector vs Projector Headlamps by Too hot to handle! https://carspiritpk.com/reflector-vs-projector-headlamps/#comment-18835 Mon, 10 Feb 2025 05:21:28 +0000 https://www.carspiritpk.com/?p=33243#comment-18835 In reply to Stay safe from LED bulb fire hazard.

The torch/flash for the mobile phone camera can also become very very hot. There’s a warning in pretty much every mobile phone that turning on the torch for a longer period can cause minor skin burns!
This also means that not only the circuit, but the light emitting element in the LED bulb can also become too hot to burn!
