Dongfeng Nammi 01 EV Launched in China

Dongfeng has launched the Naami 01 EV in China with a price range of 74,800 to 104,800 yuan ($10,400 to $14,600).

Nammi is a new energy vehicle (NEV) brand under Dongfeng that specializes in compact electric vehicles. 01 is Nammi’s first model, built on the Dongfeng Quantum Architecture S3 platform, and measures 4,030/1,810/1,570 mm, with a 2,660 mm wheelbase. This makes it slightly larger than the Suzuki Swift we have here which measures 3,855/1,735/1,495 mm and has a 2,450 mm wheelbase. However, Nammi 01 has a much generous wheelbase resulting in a larger footprint, ensuring better road stability and better interior space for the occupants.

The EV is available in 6 variants, with 5 exterior color options including 3 single-tone and 2 dual-tone combinations. All variants come with standard 16-inch or optional 17-inch alloys wearing 215/60 tires.

Other configurations include 32-color ambient lighting, mobile phone wireless charging, a pull-out drawer under the glovebox, and a one-click lie-flat mode for the front seats.

Power comes from a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that outputs 70 kW and 160 Nm enabling a top speed of 140 km/h. There are two battery options available, 31.45 kWh and 42.3 kWh LFP providing corresponding CLTC cruising ranges of 330 km and 430 km, respectively. Under DC fast charging mode, the battery can be replenished from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes or recharge up to 200 km in 8 minutes.
