Honda Will Launch WR-V in India Starting from INR 6.5 lac

After successful debut in Brazilian market, Honda is all set to launch the WR-V in India. The new sub-compact crossover will go on sale in India on 16th March 2017 with prices expected to start around INR 6.5 lac (equivalent PKR 9.97 lac).

The Honda WR-V is based on the Honda Jazz, but is notably bigger for the more practicality expected from a crossover. Compared to the hatchback it’s derived from, the WR-V has a 25 mm longer wheelbase, due to a different suspension mounting, and offers 21 mm more ground clearance.

The petrol model gets a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel model is equipped a 6-speed manual transmission.

The Honda WR-V’s brochure isn’t out yet, and so, specifications for specific trim levels are unknown for now. The top-end VX trim however, will have features like headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, faux skid plates, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, sunroof and 7-inch Digipad touch-screen infotainment system with navigation, Wi-Fi and MirrorLink. On the safety, Honda will offer ABS and dual front airbags as standard.
