In the article it mentions that Hyundai Pony is the main inspiration for it. In fact, Hyundai Pony has been the main inspiration for DeLorean DMC-12 (remember Back To The Future TV series). A unique case where the Italian designer saw it fit to use a Korean design (his own though so could it be called plagiarism or not?) as a foundation for an American vehicle.

Although the Italians are known for bad engineering (Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Fiat – on the other hand their industrial offerings are sound enough – think Iveco firetrucks, Pedrollo pumps, etc.), they are very good at architectural design/product design and can shape things with genuine market appeal.

Hydrogen fuel cell tech was always the right track. These are hydrogen fuel cell vehicles; in hybrid form, paired with battery electric systems. One step beyond what Toyota ever did.

Toyota on the other hand is not NOT focusing on their hydrogen fuel cell but is just screaming about burning it in inefficient combustion engines.

That is not the path taken by these other companies. If Toyota or rather its CEO wises up to that simple fact, they can really get into the game. if not, hydrogen fuel cell will became another technology which Toyota got into but never really matured and let other companies over take it e.g. Hyundai is pairing hydrogen fuel cell with battery EV systems in hybrid form. Its already going past Toyota.

So Toyota is not a fool in continuing its work on Hydrogen after all and judging from similar type of work being done by Chinese and now Koreans it can be said that they too think Toyota is on the right track. Good old Toyota. However, as regards to their car designs they have largely gone down hill in recent years. In fact, this N 74 is way more good looking than Crown cross or sports car concept recently revealed by Toyota, even the name of this vehicle reflects 70s. Car designs back then used to be decent, manly and mafia type and it is good to see companies bringing back decency into car designs. I wonder when Toyota would revive their design class of the 80s or 90s.

The N Vision 74 Concept has to be one of the most coolest looking concept cars from Hyundai. Just look at that thing! Absolute gnarly beaut
